The Residences at Secret Bay Completes New Hillside Villas and Launches Sales

The Residences at Secret Bay

The Residences at Secret Bay, a limited luxury collection of fully-appointed, sustainable residences secluded within the gated confines of Secret Bay, — Dominica’s all-villa rainforest resort renowned for its six-star experience and a member of Relais & Châteaux, the most prestigious association of luxury hotels and restaurants in the world — announced today a significant new milestone with the completion of its first phase of new Hillside Ti-Fèy Villas.  Also today, The Residences at Secret Bay launched its whole-ownership sales program with built villas starting at $1,490,000 and off-plan villa estates priced at $4,100,000. Among other perks, ownership includes membership and access to a worldwide network of vacation homes with ThirdHome and its portfolio of more than 11,000 properties in 94 countries.  Prospective buyers can book a VIP “Residences Discovery” package to experience the resort community first-hand, including a site inspection of the property, welcome dinner, roundtrip airport transfers, and an optional Waitukubuli by Sea tour to discover the island by boat.

The four new Ti-Fèy Villas, entirely immersed in the sights, sounds, and aromas of nature, are perched on a hillside overlooking sweeping sea, mountain and rainforest views. Receiving widespread praise, the tropical-modern architectural masterpieces designed by resident architect Claude Lauture and inspired by the original drawings for the resort by award-winning Latin American architect, Fruto Vivas, are sustainably built with Guyanese Greenheart hardwood and feature indoor furniture hand-crafted from Dominican Red Cedar by local artisans. Comprising 1,686-1,836 square feet of indoor- outdoor space and a 250-400 square-foot pool deck, each villa is outfitted with a gourmet kitchen, private plunge pool, hammocks and day beds positioned to make the most of the views, and every modern amenity imaginable. Offering spectacular jungle-to-ocean vistas, these villas are situated in the dense Dominican rainforest, creating an authentically natural experience complemented by the utmost luxury.

The Hillside Ti-Fèy Villas, designed to complement, not compromise, the land, are the newest phase of owner Gregor Nassief’s vision to create a first-of-its-kind boutique and six-star serviced vacation home experience in the Caribbean. Built across 33 newly-assembled acres at Secret Bay and in accordance with a conscientiously phased master plan, The Residences at Secret Bay will become an even lower density product than what it is today — decreasing from nine percent to less than seven percent of the property allocated for development. As such, the tangible sense of intimacy and seclusion for which Secret Bay has become renowned will forever stay intact. Over the years, the resort has been praised for its ability to effortlessly capture the luxury of time and space along with its artful fusion of high design, local craftsmanship, commitment to sustainable development through numerous green and eco-friendly initiatives and a reputation for authentic guest experiences custom-curated to personal preference.

Beyond the four new Hillside  Ti-Fèy Villas and the original six villas, The Residences at Secret Bay will have a mix of villas ranging from 1,356 and 5,182 square feet of indoor and outdoor living space and lot sizes ranging from 3,557 to 32,290 square feet. The architecture and interiors of each villa and villa estate thoughtfully reflect the pristine Nature Island. Each residence embraces casual coastal elegance with stately modern amenities, generous floor plans, fully-appointed gourmet kitchens equipped with Siemens appliances, Breville panini presses and De’Longhi espresso makers, iPads, Apple TV, Samsung televisions, tropical hardwoods, private plunge pools and outdoor showers, as well as hammocks and daybeds.

The Clifftop Estates, the largest residences, will feature a primary estate villa and second guest villa across each 29,000-square-foot parcel and boast 3,500 square feet of living space, three bedrooms and large private pools.

The Residences at Secret Bay owners gain privileged access to the resort’s incomparable six-star services and amenities including the open-air Zing Zing Restaurant, treetop couple’s Gommier Spa, riverside Bwa Mang Wellness Pavilion, seaside Zamann Watersports Hut, three swimmable beaches, along with dedicated villa attendant and concierge service, and an array of forthcoming amenities — a saltwater infinity pool, beachfront bar and restaurant, state-of-the-art fitness center, microbrewery, curated art gallery and hillside funicular among them. Additional benefits include: high-speed Wi-Fi, access to Secret Bay’s high-performing property rental program, management and upkeep of the property, and commitment to leveraging the network to facilitate resale.

The whole-ownership sales launch comes on the heels of The Residences at Secret Bay introducing its successful Citizenship by Investment (CBI) offering, a qualified investment and established program that allows individuals or families to obtain citizenship and a second passport based on contributions to the economy, society, culture or other interests as authorized by a sovereign government. While the initial phase of CBI product has nearly sold out, the newly built Hillside Ti-Fèy Villas will launch the project’s CBI’s Phase 2. Demand for CBI offerings is being accelerated by Americans, who are showing particular interest in The Residences as they seek second citizenship opportunities, in large part due to wanting a safe escape and a “Plan B.”  Approved by the Government of Dominica to offer qualifying investments for economic citizenship, The Residences at Secret Bay further provide owners with the option to invest in future mobility and security.

Pricing for The Residences at Secret Bay starts at $1,490,000 USD for whole ownership or $218,000 USD per share for citizenship investors. For more information, visit secretbay.dm/residences
