16th Annual Downtown Aspen Art Festival Returns July 21 – 22

Aspen Art Festival

Nestled in the Rockies, the weekend destination of downtown Aspen will transform into an outdoor artists’ showcase during the 16th Annual Downtown Aspen Art Festival.  150 national and local artists are bringing world-class works spanning all mediums for two days on July 21 – 22.

Whether your passions run to sparkling jewels and one of a kind paintings; exquisitely crafted glasswork or an art deco sculpture, visitors are sure to find it during the free, two-day event.

Presented by Howard Alan Events (HAE), producer of the nation’s finest juried art shows, the 16th Annual Downtown Aspen Art Festival represents original, handcrafted artwork selected by an independent panel of expert judges from hundreds of applicants. HAE’s careful vetting process ensures a wide array of mediums and price ranges will be offered during the festival.

Throughout the year more than 10,000 artists and artisans participate in HAE’s shows, many of them having left various careers and jobs to pursue the rewarding and creative life of a touring artist.

The 16th Annual Downtown Aspen Art Festival is part of HAE’s 2018 Colorado Summer of Art tour which includes the 3rd Annual Keystone River Run Village Art Festival on July 28 – 29, the 31st Annual Beaver Creek Art Festival on August 4 – 5 and the 12th Annual Main Street to the Rockies Art Festival in Frisco on August 11 – 12.

Visitors to the 16th Annual Downtown Aspen Art Festival are encouraged to engage the artists and discover the inspirations and processes behind each stunning work. All artists are on-site for the duration of the two-day festival.
