This year marks Pebble Beach Food & Wine‘s ten year anniversary and a decade of its reigning position as a showcase for the world’s most accomplished and innovative thinkers in the culinary space including appearances from legendary chefs, unparalleled culinary collaborations, and the most forward-thinking gastronomic and viticulture panels and conversations. Situated in one of the most breathtaking coastal destinations, Pebble Beach Resorts will set the stage for these superior culinary legends, mavericks, and maestros to orchestrate an unforgettable weekend taking place from April 20–23, 2017.

Only an elite group of gourmand masters hold the status of culinary genius with careers that exemplify inspirational forethought, driving a culinary revolution – this prestigious class of leading chefs have been selected to showcase at the 10th Annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine Festival. These include Daniel Boulud, Thomas Keller, Curtis Stone, Hugh Acheson, Dominique Crenn, Carlo Mirarchi, Ming Tsai, Gavin Kaysen, Peter Armellino, Naomi Pomeroy, Michael Mina, Nancy Silverton, Dean Fearing, Stephanie Izard, Michelle Bernstein, and Philip Tessier, to name a few. Additionally, more than 100 renowned chefs and 250 distinguished winemakers will join guests at this highly anticipated, four-day celebration.

Highlights from the 10th annual Pebble Beach Food & Wine include:

Lunches & Dinners:

  • Lexus Chef’s Table: The Lexus Chef’s Table Lunch invites guests to embrace the C’est La Vie attitude that these two Michelin-starred chefs embody. Join Lexus Culinary Masters Dominique Crenn and Carlo Mirarchi from opposite coasts whose cuisine and opposing styles reflect the overarching food philosophy – celebrating life through ingredients. Biodynamic wine pairings will be curated by Lexus Master Sommelier Carlton McCoy.

  • Sunday Gravy: The aromas from Pèppoli wafting through The Inn at Spanish Bay will evoke what has long been a tradition in Italian culture and families for generations. Sunday Gravy lunch will bring together the pied pipers of pasta: Ryan DeNicola (chi SPACCA), Evan Funke (FELIX), Bruce Kalman (UNION and Knead & Co.) and Angela Tamura (Pèppoli) who will collaborate on a menu featuring homemade pastas and “Sunday Gravy” that will have guests envisioning la nonna.

  • Omakase Magnum Party:  Fun, Frolic, and Omakase will be had as this feast and afternoon fête featuring Roy Yamaguchi (Roy’s/Eating House 1849), Akira Back (Kumi Restaurant), Mike Lofaro (Humuhumunukunukukuapua), and Ken Tominaga (PABU). A rollicking lunch will be overflowing with heaping platters and plenty of Tyku sake, and Suntory Whiskey to share with friends and new acquaintances.

  • Bocuse d’Or Team USA Dinner: Presented by The Venetian® Las Vegas, the festival is deeply honored to host Team USA on the heels of their 2017 Gold Medal win in Lyon, France at the prestigious Bocuse d’Or competition. Never before has the legendary Daniel Boulud and Thomas Keller cooked together in this setting as Paul Bartolotta (The Bartolotta Restaurants), Gavin Kaysen (Spoon and Stable), Mathew Peters (Bocuse d’Or 2017 Gold Medal), Philip Tessier (Bocuse d’Or 2015 Silver Medal), Rabi Saber (2016 Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie competitor) and Harrison Turone (2017 Bocuse d’Or) join forces to recreate their incredible medal-winning efforts.

  • Grand Finale Dinner: The “Grand Finale” dinner impresses year after year as an unprecedented lineup of chefs who turn out a once-in-a-lifetime multicourse extravaganza. Guests will be swept away to the restaurants of each one of these culinary experts including Roland Passot (La Folie – Left Bank), Angela Pinkerton (Che Fico), Abram Bissell (The Modern), David Barzelay (Lazy Bear), and Peter Armellino (The Plumed Horse).

Wine Seminars:

  • The Riesling Story: Riesling finds its well-deserved time in the spotlight as iconic producer Robert Weil pours the highly prized German Rieslings of the estate holdings. Representing its three flagship vineyards – Kiedrich, Turmberg, and Kiedrich Gräfenberg, guests will be treated to the extraordinary Rieslings of depth, power, and ageability that narrates “The Riesling Story.”

  • Guigal Retrospective – Benchmark Rhone: Guigal – The name is synonymous with Rhone wines, and the Guigal house has achieved legendary status for its three single vineyard wines – La Mouline, La Landonne, and La Turque – which are considered by many to be the absolute pinnacle of syrah expression. This winery and négociant will be pouring a tasting of Guigal’s finest wines for what will be one of the most in demand seats of the weekend

  • Burgers & Wine: New to Pebble Beach Food & Wine is one of LA’s leading rising chefs – Michael Fiorelli from Love & Salt in Manhattan Beach.  As Michael puts it, all things taste better when prepared with love and salt, and he’s bringing that idea to the burger.  Paired with a trio of sliders will be an incredible line-up of Napa Valley cabs, including Darioush, Far Niente, Nellcote, and Robert Craig Wine

Cooking Demonstrations in the Dacor Entertainers’ Pavilion:

Featuring Dacor’s all-new Modernist Collection, the Dacor Entertainers’ Pavilion will showcase an extraordinary level of culinary talent throughout the weekend such as:

  • Naomi Pomeroy – Elevate Your Home Cooking: Naomi Pomeroy is restaurant royalty in Portland, Oregon. The Owner and Chef of the beloved Beas, arguably one of the most wildly popular restaurants in the Pacific Northwest, shares some of her professional tips and her personal experience of a life spent at the stoves.

  • Graham Elliot Cooking Demonstration: Our love affair with the Windy City continues at Pebble Beach with a Master Class hosted by this beloved culinary TV personality and Top Chef, Master Chef, and Junior Master Chef as well as owner of his eponymous Michelin-starred Chicago restaurant – Graham is a force of nature.

  • Curtis Stone Cooking Demonstration: This Australian superstar is considered one of the culinary world’s most revered chefs as he joins Pebble Beach Food & Wine for its Tenth Anniversary celebration. An author, restaurateur, television personality, and Wonder from Down Under, has garnered considerable praise for his accomplishments and ability to master both the dining room and an audience.

Frolic, Fiesta’s & Pop Ups:

  • El Burro Borracho Taco Fiesta Hosted by Guy Fieri: Guy Fieri returns to host one of the favorite events of the weekend. This year’s taco extravaganza is framed by the famous Monterey Bay views at the Clement Hotel. Tacos, tacos, tacos reign supreme, as interpreted by an compelling cast of chefs, such as David LeFevre, John Tesar, Charles Phan, and more, while the beer and the cocktails are plentiful.

  • The Original Joe’s Stone Crab Pop Up: Chef Andre Bienvenu brings all the classic hits from the original Miami Beach flagship restaurant. Can’t make the holy pilgrimage to Miami?  At this pop-up, they’ll bring all the best right to you – the stone crab, coleslaw, hash browns, creamed spinach, and key lime pie along with dry-aged steak and more.  Hungry yet?  This will be a feast to remember!

  • Day Drinking with Kat Odell: Fans of Eater.com may already know Kat Odell, a food writer with an affection for day-drinking. In her fab new book, “Day Drinking:  50 Cocktails for a Mellow Buzz,” Kat’s recipes focus on occasions that “call for a drink, but not getting drunk.”  At the event, she will share some of her favorite cocktails that are light on the alcohol but not on flavor, and will pair these drinks with some tasty bites from legendary Chef Mike Bagale. Get ready to be the hostess with the most-est at your next daytime affair, as inspired by Kat.

Lexus Grand Tastings:

The weekend’s most spectacular event of the weekend takes place on both Saturday, April 22, 2017 and Sunday, April 23, 2017 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m. With over 300 wines from world renowned producers, to a “who’s who” list of 30 top celebrity chefs offering exclusive tastes of their best dishes, this is your chance to mingle, mix, and sip in this intimate environment with the very best in the world. Enjoy a taste of glitterati with pourings from Barrymore Wines, in collaboration with Carmel Road, as Drew Barrymore raises a glass with guests throughout the afternoon. On the Rocks with Dacor will entertain guests with interactive mixology demonstrations, featuring their all-new Modernist Collection and showcasing an extraordinary level of cocktail talent throughout the weekend, as well as photo moments that will delight and dazzle the senses for maximum culinary indulgence.
