Ultra-Exclusive Alpine Escape at Cimarron Mountain Club

Cimarron

Cimarron Mountain Club was Colorado’s first private ski resort and an incredibly timely experience today for those looking for the ultimate in social distancing, a true wilderness sanctuary, and the opportunity to create a one-of-a-kind legacy to pass on to the next generation. Especially now, when there is a huge question mark around what 2020/2021 ski season will look like, Cimarron will be offering some of the best powder out there.

Cimarron Mountain Club is the world’s only intimate and private wilderness club with skiable terrain to rival the best. Located on 1,765 acres in the San Juan Mountains between Telluride and Crested Butte, the super-exclusive resort is only open to 13 member families (7 memberships still available, starting at $2.825M), who have the option of building a chalet on their 35-acre parcel of land, or leave it untouched and just enjoy the shared club facilities, including yurts/cabins onsite when they visit.

Beyond unmatched skiing on just about any terrain (and more skiable terrain than Aspen), it offers access to every outdoor adventure you could imagine without another soul in sight – from mountain biking and rock climbing to snowshoeing and ice fishing all complete with onsite personal guides who become like family. What makes it so special is Cimarron’s commitment to preserving the powder, protecting the wilderness, and sharing it all with just 13 member families and their friends who are all partners in stewardship and preservation.

The founder, Jim Aronstein, is a retired natural resources lawyer and incredibly passionate. He dreamed of this project for decades before scouting the perfect location and making it a reality.
