Female Billionaires See Wealth Rise by $6.89 Million More Than Men This Year

But average wealth of the world’s wealthiest women is still $913 million lower than men, Communications Specialist Ltd analysis of the world’s 500 wealthiest billionaires shows

New analysis* by world-leading communication technology company Communications Specialist Ltd shows the wealth of the world’s wealthiest women has increased by $6.89 million more than the wealth of the world’s wealthiest men so far this year.

However the average wealth of the world’s wealthiest women remains $913 million lower compared with men, the analysis of the world’s 500 wealthiest billionaires shows.

The 67 women in the top 500 wealthiest billionaires have seen their wealth rise by $1,110,314,179 so far this year compared with the 433 men in the list who are $1,103,423,859 wealthier this year.

Average wealth of female billionaires is estimated at $14,260,746,269 by Communications Specialist Ltd which supplies technology for security firms supporting ultra high net worth (UNHW) families and individuals. Average wealth of male billionaires is $ 15,173,787,529.

Growing wealth is driving revenues at Communications Specialist Ltd which has seen an 34% increase in revenues in the past two years as demand for its specialist technology for security teams employed by UHNW individuals and families around the world.

Its analysis shows more than half (51%) of female billionaires are based in the US while China accounts for 9%. In total 18 countries are home to female billionaires. Around a third (33%) of male billionaires are based in the US while 15% are based in China. In total 47 countries are home to male billionaires.

Female billionaires are most likely to make their money in media and telecoms – the sector accounted for 14% of female billionaires while male billionaires are most likely to have their money in technology which accounts for 15% of the most wealthy men.
